Translating complex data into a familiar, intuitive Teams experience

In partnership with Microsoft, LSEG brought its powerful financial data and analytics directly into Microsoft Teams — meeting users where they already work and collaborate. This integration transformed Teams into a centralized hub for market insights, client engagement, and sales enablement, helping financial professionals act faster and smarter.

The Challenge

Financial professionals often juggle multiple platforms to monitor market trends, track client activity, and respond to leads. This constant context-switching slowed response times and created missed opportunities in fast-moving markets.

My Role & Responsibilities

As the Lead Product Designer for the Teams integration, I:

  • Spearheaded the end-to-end design in collaboration with LSEG’s Workspace team and Microsoft’s product and design teams.
  • Created detailed persona profiles to capture the needs, workflows, and pain points of diverse user segments, from relationship managers to sales executives.
  • Partnered with product managers to define integration capabilities that balanced Microsoft’s design standards with LSEG’s brand identity and data quality.
  • Facilitated design reviews and workshops to ensure a seamless user experience that felt native to Teams while preserving the richness of LSEG’s insights.

LSEG Inside harnesses customer data, market trends, and predictive financial modeling to surface real-time, high-value leads—all within the familiar Teams environment.

  • Instant lead recognition: Alerts when the system identifies new opportunities.
